Aileen: The Life and Death of Serial Killer

Aileen Wuarnos is America's first serial female serial killer. The film Aileen: The Life and Death of a Serial Killer is a continuation of Nick Broomfield's Aileen Wuarnos: The Selling of a Serial Killer. The film is shot 10 years later, as Aileen receives her death sentence. In this film he focusses on getting the story through Aileen's eyes, revealing the inconsistency in her story and the weight of her mental state. My favorite part of the film was Broomfield's intense involvement in the film. He was never polite for the sake of being polite. He said what was on his mind and called Aileen out when her story was inconsistent. He pushed her and close friends/family to the truth, by any means necessary. I applause his perseverance in getting the cold hard facts and not sugarcoating the story. I want to reveal the truths of the theatre cluster in the documentary I am working on as to not steer incoming freshman in the wrong direction.
